Learn to make cocktail hats with feather trims in this two-day class to be held in a 19-century Parisian apartment and atelier. Cocktail hats are small, one-size fits all shapes, perfect to wear to parties, weddings and other festive events. We will use lush rabbit fur felts, the largest, highest-quality ostrich feathers available to produce the plushiest pompoms, and other feathers to try mixing into your design, from the atelier's large stock on hand. All of the tools and materials necessary to make two hats will be available for your use during class. You are welcome to bring your own supplementary supplies; a list of suggested materials and for a basic, optional sewing kit to bring will be provided upon booking.

Class hours: 10am-5:30pm on Saturday and Sunday November 18-19, with a 1.5 hour break for lunch each day

Sewing level: Beginner to Advanced

In the unlikely event that we must cancel a workshop or session, a full refund will be given to each student. In case of cancellation by a student, notice of the cancellation must be sent by email to tricia@houseofnines.com no less than 72 hours before the start of the class in order to receive a refund.
