Learn to make your own Art Nouveau-style headdress in this all-day class to be held in a 19-century Parisian apartment and atelier. We will use a mix of different techniques, and materials including velvet ribbon, vintage silk millinery veiling, beads, wire and metal jewelry elements, and flowers from the atelier's large stock on hand.  You are welcome to bring your own materials and supplementary supplies (for example, flowers you have chosen to match a special dress).

Outside of a basic sewing kit (needles, scissors, thimble), all of the necessary tools will be available for your use during class.  However, if you would like to bring your own head form for use during class and later at home, you can get a discount on your first order with my favorite block maker, Guy Morse Brown Hat Blocks, by mentioning that I referred you. I recommend either a dolly head or a utility block in balsa wood, plus a block spinner.

Class hours: 10am-5:30pm, with a break for lunch 

Space is limited to 6 students 

Sewing level: Beginner to Advanced

In the unlikely event that we must cancel a workshop or session, a full refund will be given to each student. In case of cancellation by a student, notice of the cancellation must be sent by email to tricia@houseofnines.com no less than 72 hours before the start of the class in order to receive a refund.
