Learn to make glorious one-size-fits-all flower headbands in this 5 1/2-hour class to be held in the beautiful showroom of the last remaining fabric flower factory in New York City, M&S Schmalberg. https://customfabricflowers.com Family-owned since 1916, they are truly a treasure and we are exceptionally lucky to have the chance to meet with the owner, Adam Brand, who will offer us a private tour of the factory so we can see how their exquisite couture flowers are made. We will use a mix of materials including velvet ribbon, vintage silk millinery veiling, and flowers from the factory's enormous stock on hand. All materials for the workshop are included in the class fee except the flowers- students should expect to spend $50-100 on flowers of their choosing during the class to complete their project, and are welcome to shop for additional flowers as well. Most of the necessary tools will be available for your use during class. You are welcome to bring your own materials (except flowers) and supplementary supplies, a list of suggested materials and for a basic sewing kit to bring will be provided upon booking.
